I came across an article on Twitter the other day about things to remember if you wanted to be a good physicist. I think Preskill tweeted the picture below in response.
I always enjoy this kind of `fragmented advice’ from older people. It is as if you were to stop them in the middle of the street and asked what piece of advice would they give to youngsters, multiple times. The kind of advise old folks come up in 2 seconds is probably a perfect distillation of their thoughts. Of course, carefully structured essays like the one from Weinberg (Nature 2003) are of great stuff, too.
